Ideal Home’s October 2026 roundup recommends six Christmas storage products, including containers for baubles, trees, wreaths, wrapping paper and lights. The article presents them as more affordable alternatives to a £279 rolling bauble chest, but gives no prices for the six recommended products.
Ideal Home has published a roundup of six Christmas storage products for baubles, trees, wreaths, wrapping paper and lights, offering readers alternatives to a much pricier specialist bauble chest. The recommendations focus on keeping decorations organised between seasons, though the article does not list prices for the six products or independently test their performance.
The report’s bauble pick is the MaidMAX Christmas Bauble Storage Box, which the article describes as having four removable drawers with adjustable dividers. Ideal Home says the box is designed to protect up to 64 baubles and decorations; a zipped lid and grab handles are intended to make it easier to carry and store.
For trees, the roundup lists two options. The Argos Really Useful 77L Christmas Tree Storage Box is described as a hard-shell box for trees up to seven feet tall, with a click-on lid. The Holiday Cheer Heavy Duty Christmas Tree Storage Bag is described as fitting trees up to nine feet tall, with gaps that can be filled with garlands or other decorations.
The remaining recommendations target specific items: a wreath storage bag from Dunelm with a zip closure, a Country Club wrapping-paper storage bag, and a lights storage holder. Ideal Home says the lights holder has four removable holders for wrapping up to eight strings of lights.
Protecting Decorations Between Seasons
The recommendations address a recurring household task: putting away fragile or awkward seasonal decorations after the holidays and finding them again the following year. Separate storage for baubles, trees, wreaths, paper and lights can make items easier to locate and may reduce tangling, dust exposure or accidental damage, depending on how the products are used and where they are kept.
That could matter especially for decorations stored in lofts or other spaces where damp and dirt may be concerns. The article argues that suitable storage can help protect items, but it does not provide product testing or evidence comparing how well the recommended options prevent mould, breakage or wear. Readers should check each product’s dimensions and material against their own decorations and storage space.

From Moving House to Storage Shopping
The roundup is framed around an account by an Ideal Home writer who had recently moved house and bought new Christmas decorations. After the items arrived, the writer realised storage had not been included in the purchase and began looking for options that fit a smaller budget.
The report mentions the Deluxe Rolling Bauble Chest from Balsam Hill, which it says costs £279, as a more expensive product the writer would like to buy. It then presents six alternatives. That £279 figure applies to the chest, not to the six featured products; their prices are not stated in the supplied article text, so readers would need to check current retailer listings.
“I recently moved house, and although all major reno plans are on hold for a while, I decided to treat myself to some upgraded Christmas decorations as a little moving-in gift.”

Prices and Product Performance
The supplied report does not state the prices of the six recommended products, whether each was in stock at publication, or whether prices and availability have changed since October 2026. It also does not describe independent testing of durability or protection against damp, dust, mould or breakage.
Capacity and fit claims are reported as product descriptions in the article, not as measurements independently verified by Ideal Home. Buyers should confirm dimensions, materials and care instructions with retailers before purchasing, particularly if decorations will be stored in a cold or humid space.

Check Retailer Listings Before Buying
Readers interested in the picks will need to check the named retailers for current prices, stock and product specifications. The article does not announce a follow-up test or further product update. Its practical next step for shoppers is to compare each container with the size and number of decorations they need to store and the conditions of their storage area.
